Global Music Streams Hit 1 Trillion Milestone. Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’ – the breakup anthem – is Crowned Most-Consumed Song of 2023

The song attracts worldwide attention for its lyrics, which fans believe gives insight into her relationship with her former husband Liam Hemsworth. It also topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Switzerland, and New Zealand upon release.

“Flowers” is crossing the one billion streams mark. Each day since release has been bigger in streaming than the one before. Miley is back, this is just the beginning.  “Flowers” is written by Miley Cyrus, Michael Pollack, and Gregory Hein.

The onetime Hannah Montana star says in conjunction with the streamer to celebrate the 10-figure benchmark. Miley: “Some Flowers never fade. Thanks to all the fans” below the graphic of the singer emblazoned with “Billions Club” in front of her.

Global music audio streams are growing at a faster pace than ever, with the latest study by research firm Luminate showing they’ve already crossed the one trillion mark in 2023. Leading the top global songs list is Miley Cyrus’ hit “Flowers” the most streamed song of 2023 so far with 1.16 billion global audio streams.

Miley’s telling the world she can love herself better. “She releases a song about her cheating ex husband on his birthday, shot the video in the house he cheated on her with 14 different women,” one fan say’s. Miley Cyrus has not publicly confirmed whether “Flowers” was about her ex-husband.
